Welcome to the simulators, Trainee. it's harmless... At least for you; your simulations won't be so lucky. ten deaths, and they're out of it. Well, that's what your goal is; sit in this chair for as long as you like, and keep your characters alive. Good luck.


-Gameplay-


Welcome to the simulators; a place to either test to see how a newly created character runs, or to just see how any of your characters run. It's usually a survival of the fittest; each character seeing how long they can survive in different environments. Characters can switch from world to world unless engaged in a fight.

Players may arrange duels between each others characters individually, or in teams.

Of course, every region is simply crawling with hostile, aggressive, all around deadly rahi, so even without other characters around, survival is almost impossible.

Character Communication: Aside from talking etc, every character starts out with a communication device, by default mounted on his/her wrist. The device is operated mentally, is unjammable, and can only be used by the character who spawns with it. On top of this, they are immune to all forms of power or force, making them invulnerable and unable to be moved by anyone except their owner.

-The Mall-

A door on one side of the waiting room. Inside is a long counter, with a series of computers, similar to the blacksmith's shop. Mechandise in the form of upgrades and additional equipment are available, and the currency are kill points. currently, only a limited amount of products are available:



-Rules-

• Dermis Shell Rules apply, obviously.
• No god-modding (e.g. controlling someone else's character, having your character do something impossible). And if someone god-mods against you, don't do it back, tell an RPG Staffer.
• This is a Text-Based RPG, so to join in you post what is basically a miniature story for what is currently happening to your character.
• Use IC for In-Character and OOC for Out-Of-Character (extended versions such as IC - (character name): are also used).
e.g.:
IC: The Toa leapt from ledge to ledge, seeking the rogue Rahi.

OOC: Hey Randommember1, care to join in?
• Don't bunny (meaning control extensively) other peoples characters without their permission.
• Your characters are going to die. Every character gets ten respawns per world, once those respawns are used up, they can no longer use that world. Characters can be killed, however, the player controlling the character must state the death in his/her RPing post.
• Unlimited Characters.
• No silliness such as suddenly turning everyone's swords into feather dusters and having a tickle-off. Believe me, it's not as funny as you think.
• Don't glory hog or continuously degrade someone else's character.
• No Makuta or great beings. Botar's species is also outlawed.
• Along with current restrictions you are not allowed any unreasonable elements (Life, Creation, or Time) and all characters are incapable of performing Nova Blasts. Light is allowed, as is sound, and both give the user the abilities to move at light/sound speed. please do not use those powers to autohit other players however. Custom species, elements and masks are allowed, but must be preapproved by staff. Current unusable masks are the Komau, Sanok, Adaptation, Mask of Creation, Aki, Rua, or any Kanohi Nuva.
• As almost all enemies are rahi, all forms of rahi control can only effect one rahi at a time.

IC - Moka - From the waiting room to the lava region:

Moka straightened up slowly, his tall form rising full a foot beyond the outcropping he had spawned next to. His crossbow was in his hands and loaded, and his beady eyes took in the surroundings, noting the fact that there were about ten rahi visible, with probably another thirty hiding among the rocks. He leapt to the top of the outcrop; it was a decent sniping position.

IC: [Cedric- From the Waiting Room to the Lava Region]

Cedric chuckled in his double-voice as he warped in a few yards away from Moka. Drawing himself up to his full height, which was slightly less than Moka's, he cackled again. "Rahi, rahi, where are all the Rahi?"

Looking around, his face set in a demonic smile, he cried out, "Grow, Golden Demon!" pulling his hand out of his cloak and revealing a long, thick, segmented golden whip with a spike sticking out at the end of every segment. The whip straightened out instantly as Cedric raised it into the air, and lengthened. Cedric's raising of his weapon revealed more of his arm as the sleeve of his black cloak fell, and his arm was so thin and white that it looked like a skeleton's arm to Moka.

Suddenly, Cedric whirled his whip around him, spinning and bringing the whip around on the ground in a wide circle, destroying rocks, killing Rahi, and sending debris flying everywhere. Cedric cackled madly again.

IC - Moka - Lava Region:

Moka backflipped off the outcrop as Cedric pulverized it. He twisted in midair, and sent a volley of three bolts off in Cedric's general direction. They whistled past him, impaling several lava rats that had been just too small to be hit by the madman's whip.

The Vortixx made a mental note to stay at least three yards away from Cedric at all times.

IC: [Cedric-Lava Region}

Cedric cackled again. Using his power over sound, he bolted over the outcrop and down onto the land below it where Moka was falling onto. Reaching the hand that was not holding his weapon up into the air, he pointed a finger at the falling Moka, who he taunted with the words "Haha, you're faaaaaalliiiiiiiing! Heeheehee!" even though Moka was clearly in control of his fall.

While he was doing this, the hand that held his whip was flicking repeatedly, causing the whip to keep extending and form a suspended loop in midair.

IC: [Hukki-Waiting Room to The Swamp]

Hukki strode across the swamp, watchful, but happy with the zone. Water nearby meant he could constantly replenish his mask's levels, and any rahi foolish enough to come close was knocked from the sky or fried, courtesy of his thermal vision seeing through the muck and his electricity being conducted by it. And best of all, he did not sink, thanks to his widespread feet. He continued scanning the area while walking on-if there was anyone here at all, he wanted to find them. So he would.


[Stokunde-Waiting Room to Lava Region]

A figure stood outlined against fiery rivers, watching from atop a small outcropping on the mountain. Its scope clicked and whirled, buzzing as it looked out at the desolate and arid land.

Query: Is this territory supposed to be the land of fire, or the land of foolishness? Conjecture: This region is for users of the Fire element. Hypothesis: If this region is for users of the Fire element, then proceed with maximum caution and stealth.

Moving, the figure began to stalk slowly across the mountain, moving from cover to cover in careful lopes that took into account the volcanic rock beneath their feet. Stokunde was here, and it was here to survive for as long as possible.

IC - Moka - Lava Region:

Moka landed easily on another boulder, and grinned slightly.

Right behind Cedric, five Furnace Salamanders were scampering at top speed towards the toa of sonics. Moka could have taken them down with a few well placed shots, but...

The newcomer's insaneness was getting on his nerves, and he wanted to see how the toa would fare.

IC: [Iridacea]

Iridacea leaped from tree trunk to tree trunk, determined not to touch the disgusting water below him. Spotting movement ahead of him, he escalated his pace until he met up with the source of the movement. It was a strange green being with spines running along its back. Landing the root of a tree, Iridacea directed his voice towards the being. "I am Iridacea, also known as the Violet Prince. Pleased to make your acquaintance." He sunk into bow at a 90 degree angle, and promptly stood back up, his jagged purple hair swishing in the process. He was wearing a long coat with fur around the collar and around the wrists, because the cold of the bog had started to get to him after spawning.

IC: [Cedric]

Cedric could hear the Lava Rats scampering toward him, and guessed it was about 5 or 6 by the number of steps. "I hear you little ratty-rats," prattled Cedric. He released a burst of sonic pressure in the area around him, crushing the Lava rats to death. "Now your skulls are crushed, and your insides coming out," said Cedric in a singsong voice.

IC - Moka - Lava Region:

Several of the lava salamanders were killed by the intense sound, but the rest were upon Cedric before the wall could catch them. Again Moka leveled his crossbow and shot, putting a bolt through each of the rahi's skulls.

"Good technique, especially against a swarm," he mused out loud.

IC: However, slightly through his introductory speech, said prince found a protosteel weight flying at his head. Hearing the thud of a body landing on a root, Hukki had instinctively whirled, unfurling one kusari-fundo as he did so for it to fly at his foe. The blunt force of such an attack could shatter one's skull upon impact, and the silent warrior, still turning the rest of his body, realized too late that the stranger would probably have his in pieces before he got a chance to explain the attack.

IC: [Iridacea]

Iridacea calmly raised his hand and released a bolt of electricity from his palm, which struck the kusari-fundo squarely, flinging it back the way it came and sending a strong electrical charge through the metal chain towards the being.

"Honestly, who attacks someone after they've just been greeted by that person," said Iridacea lazily. "And it was a nice greeting, too. Come on," he sighed.

IC: [Cedric]

Suddenly, without any warning, Cedric turned towards Moka and flicked his hand, prompting his Golden Demon whip to turn and head straight for the space above Moka's right shoulder, aiming to have the spikes on the segments rip Moka's shoulder into shreds. "I'm gonna kill you, arrow person!" Cedric shouted, cackling.

IC: Hukki absorbed the electricity with ease, feeling its tingle as it flowed through his body into his spine and down out of his legs into the ground. He licked his lips slightly. He loved that feeling...

Abruptly he realized his kusari-fundo was heading back at him, and his fingers shot up and grabbed it. The member of Ehlek's species then heard the stranger's remark. So this guy felt like he'd been inconvenienced? Well, he sure would show this guy inconvenienced. After all, Sloth was a deadly sin, he thought with a grin, making his face grotesque.

Still holding the bar of metal up as its chain dangled limply, Hukki peered past it to size up his foe, wary. Before he continued, he had to know more about this guy than the fact that he was a Toa of Lightning.

IC - Moka - Lava region:

It was a bad move. Moka simply lowered his head, and the whip glanced off the angled protosteel hat's surface without leaving a scratch. At the same time there was the mechanical click and whirl as Moka's crossbow fired and reloaded, sending four bolts flying at Cedric's torso in the space of a few seconds. At the same time, Moka backflipped again, landing on a boulder farther away.

IC: [Cedric]

"Why did you fire those at me? I said I was going to kill you!" Cedric said from a rock farther away. He had bolted over at the speed of sound when he saw the bolts come at him. Suddenly, flicking his hand, his whip turned in midair, redirected by a blast of sound from Cedric, and raced back downward toward Moka's back, unseen by Moka himself.

IC: Taking in the details, Hukki found his foe to look to be rich with clothing, meaning his weapons would be of the finest degree as well. His mask appeared to be that of Intangibility, but one could never be sure of what amazing and probably dangerous power a foe could have concealed in such a defensive mask. And his chosen weapon was-

-A rose.

Put down momentarily, Hukki knew better than to judge the plant by its appearance. Judging by the way the pompous stranger was twirling it around, it was some kind of sword. Which meant that he should definitely disarm the guy, if he didn't use a regular sword. There had to be some advantage to using a rose as a sword, right?

But to be on the safe side, Hukki probed. Hopping up onto a tree root as well, he tried a strike to the Toa's right upper torso with his kusari-fundo, dropping the weight momentarily only to swing it.

OOC: So begins the fight of Thumb-Chain Man V. Flower-Power Princess xP

IC - Moka - Fire region:

Moka, standing on a boulder about twenty feet away from Cedric, was easily able to see the whip flicking outwards and...

Behind him?

He whirled around, instinctively lowering his head. There was a clang as the head of the whip slammed into his hat and flew up into the air-

Only for Moka's hand to grab it by the robe, and give it a sharp tug. Quickly Moka sent another bolt at Cedric, who was now off balance from the sudden tug, and in danger of falling.

"Your skills at killing are falling apart," Moka said, leaping backwards off the boulder, taking the whip with him, which could only serve to knock the unfortunate sonic toa even more off balance. Once on the ground, he dropped the whip[, and drawing a katana, slashing at it.

IC: [Cedric]

Cedric, pulled forwards by Moka grabbing the whip, leaped off the boulder and, his leap enhanced by pushing himself forward with a blast of sound, ended up behind where Moka was on the ground. This effectively pushed him out of the way of the bolt. "You're lucky you didn't grab the spike on the whip," cackled Cedric. Reaching into his cloak again and pulling out one of his many daggers, he slashed wickedly at Moka's exposed back, while at the same time shouting, "Shrink, Golden Demon!" The whip began to fly backwards out of the reach of Moka's katana.


IC: [Iridacea]

Lazily lifting his rose, he held the extremely thin stem across his chest where the kusari-fundo was headed for. The kusari-fundo struck the stem, and much to Hukki's surprise crumpled and fell to the ground. "Come ooooon, hit me harder!" said Iridacea, his voice rising in volume. "This isn't even fun."

IC - Moka - lava region:

Moka whirled around as Cedric landed behind him. In one fluid movement, he clipped his crossbow onto his back, and struck out with his katana at Cedric's hand before it could clench a dagger. Moka easily drew his second katana, and aimed a quick slash at Cedric's neck.

IC: [Cedric]

Cedric cackled madly as he drew the hand reaching for the dagger wildly back and jumped backwards, slamming his other hand down hard onto the dull side of Moka's katana, smacking it to the ground and ending up with a medium-depth cut in the center of his hand for his efforts.

The blood stained his bright white skin, making his skeletal appearance even more gruesome. His yellow pupils flicked wildly around.

IC: Feyrren [Waiting Room to Lava Region]

Feyrren drew a pistol, shooting at a Lava Rat that scurried by, probably seperated from the rest of its swarm.

He looked up and saw two figures dueling, so, when he found what he thought was a reasonable safe place, he sat and started to watch.

IC - Moka - Lava region:

MokaCircling quicklyso that he wouldn't be the path of the returning whip, and slashed diagonally downwards, the stroke starting above the Cedric's left shoulder, and scheduled to end at his right side. At the same time, his first sword was coming up from where it had been knocked against the ground, in a thrust at Cedric's heart.

IC: [Cedric]

"I'm gonna block that, I'm gonna block that," said Cedric in the same singsong tone he had used earlier. Unsheathing a dagger quickly with one hand, he blocked the diagonal strike. Suddenly, the end of Cedric's cloak grew and grew immensely fast, in much the same way that his whip had done. The cloak rose up to meet the stab, and its folds smothered the blade. The tip barely punctured Cedric's skin, letting a single drop of blood drip down from underneath his cloak. He then retracted his cloak into its normal size. "I didn't want to use that!" shouted Cedric, his whip now back to the size of a katana.

IC - Moka - lava region:

Moka tore his blades out of the cloak, and attacked in a blinding series of slashes.arms, legs, body and head, they were all perfect targets.

IC: [Cedric]

Using his whip, now solidified, as a sword in one hand, and his dagger in the other, he parried the strikes. He knew he was getting beaten, and fast, too. Moka's swords tore through his cloak, slashing him multiple times across the chest. His torso was soon a red and white mess. Screaming loudly, Cedric ran as far from Moka as he could using his sound powers. As he ran, he shouted back at Moka, "I'll get you again! I'll get you agaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiin!" Cedric soon vanished, a blur of black racing across the fiery landscape.

IC - Moka - Lava Region:

Moka stood, slightly out of breath, glanced around. Cedric had fled, and large numbers of rahi had been attracted by the fight. He could see three salamanders galloping straight at him. With a grin, Moka lept forwards, vaulting over and lashing out. One katana slashed through the top of the center salamander's head, the other hit midair. He hit the ground, turning to face the backs of his foes, and charged again, slashing into them as they turned to face him.

In seconds, he was the only living thing there.

Then a flash of metal caught his eye, and peering closely, he noticed a Vortixx standing well aways, watching him.

"You can come out anytime you like; there's just as many rahi here as over there," he called out.

IC: Feyrren [Lava Region]

"That's a fair point, that," called out Feyrren, drawing his pistol and keeping it ready just in case he needed it against the Rahi.

"Saw that fight you had going on there."

IC: However, even as the fundo fell, Hukki yanking it back, the prince found that the stem of his own flower was bent. The warrior opposite him smirked slightly, licking his lips as electricity once more ran through his body.

Evidently, this guy is a bit careless. Although it didn't completely snap, meaning it's tougher than a normal rose, and it still defended his foe against one attack, how much longer could the stranger hold out?

Now whipping both his kusari-fundo into motion, left cracking towards the right, right whirling overhead and slightly to the right to avoid any trees, Hukki attacked. One of his kusari-fundo flew towards his foe's legs, the other fell downwards and to the left towards the stranger's head-even if it missed, the weapon wouldn't tangle with his other kusari due to its angle and distance.

IC - Moka - Lava Region:

Moka gave a short laugh.

"You meet all kinds of madmen out here."

IC: Feyrren

Feyrren nodded grimly. "All too true, my friend."

He managed to crack a smile at the Vortixx before him.

"Feyrren. You?"

-Spawn

IC - Moka - Lava Region:

Moka expertly wiped the blood off his katanas and sheathed them, then extended a hand.

"Moka."

IC: Feyrren [Lava Region]

Feyrren shook it, and his grin slowly widened.

"How many lives do you have?"

-Spawn

IC - Moka - Lava region:

Moka grinned slightly.

"Ten, on all regions. Just started out. You?"

IC: Feyrren [Lava Region]

"Very same," he said with a nod. "Might as well stick together."

-Spawn

IC: Hukki wasn't stupid. The guy had been probing him. One didn't shock someone twice only to watch it do nothing. A stronger shock would come now, probing his defenses.

So the warrior decided to fight fire with fire.

At the last seconds, his spines released a charge that traveled down through his body, into his kusari-

-Then into the fundo-

-Which fell onto the rose-

-And all karz broke lose with a-

BANG

-And Hukki's fundo was sent spinning away as smoke filled the area around his foe, and he suddenly remembered how glad he was to have had them attached to his wrists.

Drawing both the kusari-fundo back, he kept back a smirk with willpower. His foe would probably use this opportunity to go intangible and blend in with the smoke. However, in reality, it was an opportunity for Hukki himself. As the guy couldn't possibly know he had thermal vision yet, the warrior could just fake that he was blind until the stranger attacked. Looking around in pretend confusion, Hukki put on a mask of discombobulation.

Poking out from behind a volcanic boulder, Stokunde's scope whirred. Looking down the mountainside, it watched two strange beings. One appeared to wear a wide-brimmed hat of metal and was strangely organic apart from some other armor. The other looked to be a slightly more armored Vortixx than usual.

Conjecture: The beings are not Rahi. Theorem: They are players. Conditional: If these are players, then one should test them.

Sitting back down with its back to the boulder, the Toa of Gravity reached down and pulled out two fistfuls of senbon. Moving slightly again, it turned and drew back its arms while doing so, then, scooting over to the edge of the boulder, aimed and threw. Finally, the toa scooted back, back against the rock. None of the needles were aimed to wound or kill-each one was aimed in a cluster near to the heads of the two players. However, finding out the reaction of the two would determine if they were worthy to become allies or to be annihilated.

OOC: To quote myself: "Rule #1 of Science in Writing: When two forces meet, an explosion happens."

IC - moka - Lava region:

Moka inclined his head in agreement-

-Only for a series of darts to clatter off his hat.

In an instant he had his crossbow in his hands, and had fired a shot in the direction for the darts.

IC: Feyrren [Lava Region]

Feyrren, meanwhile, dove for cover, landing behind a small outcropping of rocks and drawing his pistol.

"I don't think that's a Rahi," he shouted to Moka.

-Spawn

IC: Stokunde sat behind the rock, listening-

-To hear a crossbow bolt fly past and eventually slam into the ground point-first about one or two bio up and to the right of its hideout.

Conjecture: The players have excellent reaction times. Theorem: They possess and use a crossbow. Hypothesis: If they do not fire at this distance now, then prepare for close combat.
